Kacem Al Ghazzali - Moroccan blogger/YouTuber persecuted by religious zealots.

A thousand year old quote from Mohammad ibn Zakariya Al-Razi on Islam:

They forbid rational speculation, and strive to kill their adversaries. This is why truth became thoroughly silenced and concealed."

So little has changed in the minds of these zealots, whose faith and reasoning is so weak that controversy is not silenced with facts but with threats and violence.

Those who criticize religion from the relative comfort of the western world need to understand that it is a far riskier prospect in more restrictive, less open societies, especially those where the religion under scrutiny is the dominant one. We have to defend those who fearlessly stand at the forefront of the fight for global human rights.
