  • Did you try the pump test/priming mode? Does that work?

  • That's strange, maybe I can help you out with the settings/setup? Send me a mail at mauryr at tiscali dot it if you want.

  • What brand of propane are you using?

  • @polishedbrother The propane used in the video was some random chinese brand I picked from my mother in law's stock of portable cooking platforms... no idea about the brand. Here at home I use camping gaz (blue can) but I think they all work fine, as long as the plug filament is teased out properly, the plug is hot enough and the engine is not saturated with gas.

  • Hi mauryr, I have two ATJ 170ti engines which produce 17kg thrust in my large mig-25 and they also glow red during the day on the nozel. They both run very hot at over 700 C. Strange thing is one engine runs hotter then the other which is concerning but so far good engines for less money

  • @clintontrex

Hello, I ran the engine 2 or 3 times in the day light and did not notice any glowing. I am fairly certain the temperature never reached 700 degrees during this run. It runs somewhere between 550 and 650 depending on throttle and phase (hotter during acceleration)

At least, these are the numbers the thermocouple reports.

  • I disconnected the plug from the ecu that gives information to the pump and ran a small amount of voltage through the neg and pos on that line and the pump works. ?? Seems as though the ecu is just not talking to the pump.

  • Got the ecu back and it still didn't work. I was using powermax. Now I'm just sitting on a new non working turbine. When I disconnect the kerosene line from the engine and run it through a start sequence, no fuel comes out of the line.

  • @mauryr I have a brand new Ajt 120ti also but it won't start. After troubleshooting, I found the the fuel pump wasn't being told by the ecu to run. Went through all the settings a million times. Ended up sending the ecu back for service.

  • Maybe the fuel to air ratio is wrong?!?! What are these worth to buy and where from?

  • Where we can buy this ?
