Undergrad or graduate rankings can, at times, be laughable in relation to academics with regard to football (see Cal in the early 2000s). Unfortunately for stevehwan, we're talking about football, not basketball or one of the non-revenue sports (which unfortunately, very few people care about). I live outside the USA and, to put it simply, ND is synonymous abroad with American football at the college level. UCLA is known pretty well as a school (though nowhere close to the rep of Berkeley).

ucla's quarterbacks r the worst in the nation, until they get an ok quarterback they will always be mediocre

uhhh yeah. who has the more nobel laureates? ucla. who has the more famous alumni? ucla. who has the MOST ncaa titles of any college? ucla. notre dame hasnt even won the past fucking. notre dame sucks. overhyped. hasnt even won the championships in a long ass time. both in and outside the u.s, ucla has the better name recognition.

ucla isnt known for anything. when you talk about college football as a whole (not just the past 15 years or so) notre dame is at the top of the list

believe whatever you want but you cant argue the fact that UCLA holds the largest number of NCAA championships, has the better prestige, is better well-known, and outperforms notre dame academically by a longshot.
