I totally agree that professors do not have the right to break anybody's property in class, but how stupid do you have to be to actually answer your phone in class?

I'm in 9th grade and in detention someones phone was ringing so my teacher took it and pegged it at the wall so hard and it broke into a bunch of pieces and he started kicking them away and he took the remainder of the broken phone and threw it away......

Good. Kids are treating school like it's there own playground. I paid a lot of money fir my education and students around me were constantly on laptops and Fb on smart phones ect. Some people don't understand that they are part of the discussion and greatly benefit the class with participation. This was extreme but apparently this kid was being a dick. Don't answer that call and keep on talking in class. Excuse yourself and apologize

If I were a teacher, I would smash every single cell phone that goes off in my class HANDS DOWN! If students can't use their brains (assuming they have any) and shut the cell phones OFF before they get to class, then they deserve to have it destroyed..
