  • @llorracs93s10 I watched your videos and thought the Hooker Aerochamber mufflers sounded best. Yours sounded quite mild until revved, but then it sounded quite healthy. That is a very nice truck.

I have no experience with the Dynomax bullets, sorry.

I was wrong; the interior resonance point in my car is 1600-1800.

  • @t5montecarlo Gotcha. The thing sounds a lot more mean than what the numbers you posted for sure! If you check mine out , you might say the same, lol. I have a mild built lt1/t56 in my s10 but only ran a 14.0 so far.

But your motor sounds very healthy with those mufflers and cam. I might have to steal that cam and swap it in a sbc soon! Lastly, have you heard the dynomax bullets in person? How differnt do the bullets sound vs. the pypes violators?

  • @llorracs93s10 Inside the car, the exhaust is quiet except at a resonance point of about 2k rpm. With the cats, it is surely quieter than without. The Violator is straight though with louvers. Pypes took under-car photos and video of idle, revving, and a drive-by, but they have not posted it on their website yet.

  • @llorracs93s10 In stock form and a T5, with small tweaks such as jetting and a chip, it ran 15.3. When I added the Edelbrock TES, it ran a best of 14.61. There are many MCSSs that run poorly, but mine runs good. I have not run it since the cam, and intake, and exhaust, but seat of the pants can feel quite a difference.

  • @t5montecarlo You telling me that is the stock 305 with just the cam upgrade? My buddy has a 305 in a s10, or had and ran 12.8 all motor and people dog the 305's. That thing sounds amazing for the CI's! Do you have anymore videos' with the pypes exhaust? And lastly how loud would you say the pypes muffler is?

  • @llorracs93s10 Thanks; I like it. My MCSS has the original L69 305 with about 70k miles, but it runs quite strong.

  • That thing sounds amazing! I have a 85 MCSS that I want to swap in a 350 sbc in it. What motor do you have in yours?
