Part of the probelm might be that you are letting go of the mouse, but you should instead go in reverse once you reach the end to get some extra %'s.

Letting go of the mouse button immediately terminated the game. Going in reverse didn't help - the game doesn't tell you but you're supposed to finish long before the timer is up in order to gain any points.

Are you playing on a laptop or a normal computar? Because it's easier with the laptop mousepad instead of a mouse.
