Wonderful stuff, I'm so grateful to you for uploading it. This is pure comedy gold. Old-timers like Bert Wheeler had vaudeville in their blood, his comic timing and delivery is flawless. Even without Woolsey he's a riot.
Bert Wheeler and Bob Woolsey were a great, unsung comedy team from the 20s and 30s. Don't miss any of their films.
This is Bert Wheeler in the early 50s on TV with Gleason. Woolsey died in '37, then Bert was doing a lot of Broadway as a solo and an occasional film spot.
Here he is on live TV with an extended monologue that is dead-on perfect and very funny.
My Uncle Tom Dillon worked with Bert Wheeler for many years. Thanks for posting.

Wheeler without Woolsey is kinda like the sound of one hand clapping, but this is still an interesting bit of history.

These old pros could handle anything.
