Great.....except for the kick drum-crazy soundman. I'd like to take the lot of these guys and stick their heads inside John Bonham's bass drum for about 6 months....cure them all of this fucking kick drum-itis. I'm so sick of hearing shows ruined by over zealous wanna-be drummer soundmen.

@edwinglenn I saw those fendertones videos . I would go see them but I understand they no longer exist?

Retarded adults make up the bestest audiences in da world!--B. Wilson

This is a great venue to see him after the show...leaving by the side back exit door. Saw him there "07, '08 & (meet & greet) '09. Crowd is older and wants to hear the music vs. in my hay days of BB concerts when getting general admission tickets for $6-$8 dollars was the way to go b/c you sang, dance on your spot & bounced beach balls in the crowds. The music now sounds so good w/Brian's fussiness to make it sound original.

Beach Boys music isnt similar to that of an opera or classical. I dont know about BW Wilson fans being that mature they usually are the ones filling up all the youtube videos with negative remarks about Mike Love.
-
brian wilson fans are more mature than that, people want to sit ,watch, and listen. do you see people jump up and down at a classical or operatic concert?
-
I said this comment prematurely but its sad nobody is standing..
-
why are people idiots for wanting to dance and be happy? I bet your one of those miserable fans that yells 'down in front'!!

Amen, brahud. Brian Wilson will be in the history books alongside Mozart, Strauss, Beethoven, etc. 100 years from now. And yes, the Fendertones are the first of what will be an outgrowth of many classical music orchestras of the future, playing Brian's music with accuracy and reverance.

If you're a Beach Boys fan, you should check out the Fendertones' youTube videos. They're a group that did a couple of BB tributes concerts a few years back. They tried to stay as true to the original recordings as possible. I was lucky enough to make it to the concerts, and they were absolutely fantastic. They did an incredible job of capturing all the nuances of the BB's genius.
...and as good as this show was, compared to SMiLe ath the Keswick, this was like KC and the Sunshine Band on The Midnight Special. Not to take away from the greatness of this show, but that's how good the first run of SMiLe was...and Al doing California Saga was the friggin' limit!
