University of Minnesota Regents professor emeritus accepts his Nobel prize in economics on Monday, December 10, 2007, at the Ted Mann Concert Hall on the University of Minnesota West Bank. Hurwicz is the oldest Nobel prize recipient.

  • Like many economic theorists, I had been waiting for Leo Hurwicz to get the Nobel Prize for many years. I was delighted to hear the news, but the surprise was why it took so many years.
