I installed an AEM V2 CAI for my friend's 2007 Honda Accord 3.0L V6 with an automatic transmission. Overall, the install took about 3 hours, including the time taken to remove and reinstall the front bumper and trim pieces. Pretty simple and straight forward install if you know what you're doing.

  • I Love The Way Honda's Transmission Shifts. So Crisp.

  • @jsnevels2 Agreed, very predictable shifting

  • sounds really nice I have the exact same car and just bought a injen cai for mine and sounds great... but I have a question one thing I found weird about the car is the transmission its not really that smooth this is my first honda and was wondering if hondas transmissions are like that? thats comparing my 2005 altima V6 which has a smoother transmission..

  • @juan102008 Yeah in all honesty any aftermarket intake for the V6 Accord will sound the same. Short rams obviously will be louder than CAIs. I can't comment on the Nissan transmission vs. the Honda transmission since I've only owned Hondas. Yeah the shifting is pretty rough on Honda automatics. My 1992 Accord shifts rough, my friend's 1995 Accord shifts rough, this 2007 Accord shifts rough and my other 2011 Accord shifts rough as well. Never understood why, but they do.

  • will a AEM V2 intake fit on a 04 accord v6?

  • @zakicrack I honestly don't see why it wouldn't.

  • @juan102008 Honda uses clutch packs in their automatic transmissions. So it's like a manual transmission essentially which makes them last longer if they are serviced correctly, but if they aren't serviced correctly they go to shit very fast. Some people learn that the hard way. Thats always been a stipulation with those transmissions. **former Honda service advisor***

  • @juan102008 One more thing....the rattle in your dash can be fixed. Just need a Honda trained technician to look at it. They can make adjustments to it if it needs it. Otherwise, it could be something simple like something in their rattling. It's normally always something simple that drives us crazy. Take care, man.

  • @juan102008 Honda owners are usually very smart, self aware, nice people. I always enjoyed meeting new Honda owners. Notice I said, "usually". There are some idiots out there, too. :P Take care, man and enjoy your Honda. I am sure it won't be your last.

  • @juan102008 No problem. I love Honda's and they are great to work for too if you can find a reputable dealership. I have seen people leave Honda's to go to Ford, Nissan, Gm, etc...and regret it. The quality has slipped a bit in the last few years and it is starting to show in the latest generation Civic, but they have been on top for so long. Plus the tsunami has really affected production in Japan which has had a ripple affect throughout Honda. They will recover though.

  • @woody231979 Thanks a lot for the information I didn't know that since this is my first honda the V6 engine is incredible very refined the transmission works great in spirited driving since like u said works as a manual so it likes to rev and overall very solid car almost as fast as my altima but is more refined only complaint are some interior rattles from the passenger side glove box, but overall great car. again thanks a lot for the info really appreciate it..
