  • Also, being a huge Bruce Lee fan, I geeked out when I first heard of this movie. Donnie Yen did a good job at playing Ip Man in my opinion and Wilson Yip did a tremendous job in direction. That's something I think everyone can agree on.

I'm not gonna start an argument on youtube; that's just stupid. If there are any resources you can find, please bring them to my attention

  • I thought we could all be good sports but now I'm gonna have to say something:

    1. This was a high school project I did during my junior year for ap US history

    2. This IS one of my favorite movies. Being a martial artist myself, I have a huge appreciation for the choreography and direction of the movie itself.

    3. I did do all the research I could. I had to come to the conclusion with the given evidence available. Given me more time and your guys' resources, this might've been different

  • Nope, you are wrong. The war is called "Second Sino-Japanese War" and it starts on 7th July 1937 with the incident near Luogouqiao (a.k.a. Marco Polo Bridge incident). You have no proof that Yip Man was not living on the streets.
