I haven't uploaded any bird videos lately for a couple of reasons. Mostly that since Otto, my prized Blue Head Pionus, flew away nearly two years ago I just haven't been the same. Also, my wife has serious allergies to most birds. Two years ago we had more than 10 birds and things were pretty chaotic. Now we only have two. Luigi the Lovebird and Bluey the Parakeet. We had to rehome Shadey due to my wife's allergies. Since then, Luigi has been my constant companion. I hope to post videos of him now and then.

  • Please more bird movies. The lovebird especially. They get suuuuuch a bad rap like the quakers). And I like seeing vids of them so I can get a real handle on what they are like. For instance ... i never woulda guessed in a million years a lb would let another species of bird near it. See?

  • Thanks for your comments.

    :)

    More bird videos coming.

  • We miss you on Pionus Parrot. Happy upcoming birthday. Dani says "Hello". We'd love to see more artwork.

  • For future reference. I don't know much about comparisons outside the too/tiel world regarding dander and dust. But Budgies do have a little more dander than what you'd think. I have a parrotlet and a budgie. Hands down the parrotlet is leagues better dust wise (and poop). I haven't talked to anyone with allergies, but I heard that a good parrot for allergies is an Ekkie. They have oil, and totally diff plumage as you already know. big hepa filter help a "lot".

  • I'm devastated for you. Please give my thoughts to your wife okay? I'm in the same boat. I will never be able to have a doggie or kitty or anything in the larger rodent family (rabbit, gp, large rat, etc). All my life I could not have birds either, but that allergy went into a bizarre remission and I pray every day I don't wake up with it again ya know? It's a cruel fate, I know. Even worse, I know what its like to see family members die for certain pets and not have them because of me.

  • Birds are sloppy eaters, they don't have lips.

  • cool

  • Take care of them, they are so lovely :)

  • Hi!!!! I love Jo and Graziella!!!! xoxo

  • Wow, that's pretty cool, a keet and lovebird sharing like that! I'm so sorry to hear about the allergies and consequent reduction of your flock... Allergies to birds seem to be a common occurrence, especially those birds who have that "powder," such as cockatiels.
