Why are you a developer? What do you love about it? When did you get started? And what are you most excited about in Visual Studio 2010? Visual Studio 2010 launches on April 12, and MVP Stephen Borg and the Microsoft Visual Studio team want to hear your story.

Post a video reply right now and join the conversation. Or if you want to try Visual Studio 2010, download the Release Candidate: http://bit.ly/d8IJIe

  • Visual Srudio. Machine producing crippled kids unable to write two lines of code without Intellisense(TM).

  • I wanted to be a developer when I figured how much better the OS and the tools on UNIX were compared to all the utter-crap Microsoft was producing. UNIX enabled me to developed software that could run fast and on many platforms.

  • Estoy aquí por que quiero aprender de ustedes

  • @SlickShinobiDojo

I'm hoping VS 2010 is going to be faster, more responsive, provide more productivity enhancing features and have an engine that allow iPhone apps development.... :-)

  • I am a developer because I like problem solving, the challenges involves and being able to be creative in what I do.

Successfully completing a project to the client's requirements and seeing the end product being used by a couple or thousands of people, is I think quite rewarding...

If you have the right skills set and if you are dedicated, the money and career progression as developer can be quite good..

    That's my 2 cents, if you don't agree... well I don't care... :D

  • Will code in C# for food...

  • I'm a programmer because I have to fix everyone's VisualStudio's BS work, to something that actually works.

  • @xtericx I've used Vim for a number of my projects. However since this is a senior design project we're told what to program in, what IDE's we can use and what we have to do. There really isn't much room to maneuver in when you're using C# .Net and wrapping them as dss services.

  • @IVIelkor2005 yeah, use VI instead

  • the chicks! yea right

  • he's shopping for talent

  • Anyone reading this that is a developer interested in a project involving a website database, hit me up.
