This is a 12"x24" layout using the October Afternoon "Fly A Kite" 8"x8" paper pad. This video also includes TWO bonues projects, so be sure to watch all the way to the end. :D I wanted to do a video for people who like making mini albums and 12"x12" layouts to show how we can use our smaller paper pads we buy for our mini albums to also make layouts. I hope you enjoy it! I was able to get a 12"x24" layout, a 6"x6" mini album and a card from the one 8"x8" paper pad & still have paper and scrap left over. Amazing!

For more information, or for a larger JPEG of the sketch, please check out my blog: http://thescrapbeach.blogspot.com/2011/07/layout-week-day-one-bonus-projects....

  • do you have a tutorial of how to do the matchbook that you in the mini album. I love that!

  • @bakogirl66 I don't have a tutorial on my channel, but there are lots of matchbook card and album tutorials on YouTube ~ they're fun and easy!

  • Fabulous Kathryn! A layout, mini album and card all in one video...and using one of my favorite collections on top of all that!! Hokey Dinah!! You have certainly outdone yourself! Thank you very much!...Nancy :o)

  • @nickelnook1 You're welcome! :D So glad you're enjoying it!

  • I loved this idea! I can't wait to try it! But I was wondering about the pockets and the match book on your mini. How did you make all those pockets so that a tag or something can slide right under, as well as the match book being able to slide right in?!? I've been watching all your videos and I'm amazed at your pockets, tags and envelopes that I've tried to do them but have failed. Can you help me please?

And as always thanks for sharing and keep up this wonderful thing that you have going!

  • @Unheard03 I use foam tape/pop dots to lift up the photo mats and other parts of the page so the tags can slide underneath. You just need something to give it a little lift. If you don't have foam tape, you can use pieces of chipboard. Just add it anywhere the tag won't be once it's slid underneath.
