They call it the Trompsky attack because Anand wants to tromp you and stomp Karpov! If Karpov was a smoker, he would be Karpuff.

Karpov won the match, don't know about this particular game.

Karpov does this periodically for some reason. I've noticed him sometimes taking many minutes on early moves vs. Kasparov. I believe he is a fairly fast player in these long games and is simply confident of his abilities.
