This siren was extracted from an old, old, old Ademco burgular alarm system that I removed from a building years ago. The actual burg. system plugged into a 120 vac outlet, and had glowing cathode tubes in it! (I no longer have the system - i could never get it to work. It dated back to the mid to late 60's - that's for sure.
This siren was mounted on the top front of the unit. These sirens, along with similar, but much smaller ones, were also used as car alarm sirens back in the 70's, and early 80's. This siren will run on about 6-16 volts a.c. or d.c. and spin in either direction to sound. For peace on Earth to all others, PLEASE decrease the volume towards the end of the clip!

@MrIvanpita1964 Didn't you hear? It's on the ironing board. He didn't film it with a toaster. He used the iron.

Also I read and you also said it runs on ac. Is it the same voltage as dc volts, meaninig 6 to 16 vdc and the same as for ac? Any help would be appreciative.

I have a siren like this. is there any marks that tell you what this is other than your experience. I haven't posted any footage of it but it looks just like yours.
