No warning for this one. It doesn't really fit anymore. Just know this horse has had a lot of issues. Still does, but he is working through them! (while learning myself of course)

I was proud of him again. He was really good. He started off in his typical Head high tension, but his gait was more relaxed. When he loosened up, this is what he was. He was very excitable, wanted to go a little too much, had to make sure he listened to half halts. When he got that down more he was just fantastic. Almost - dare I say it - normal.

  • I like how you praise him when you are riding. everyone allways calls me a freak when i prasie my horse and talk to him while im riding. i havent seen anyone else but you do it. I am glad im not the only one talking to my horse!!!!

  • I think it is wonderful you praise and talk to your horse, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I do talk to Sabi a lot, he responds to it very well. Some horses respond more than others to me talking, but there has been no harm ever done in praise something you like.

  • the reason it took you so long to get him like that is because your dumbass didn't circle him when he was backing up like that.

  • Being an expert on the matter? If you knew anything about the horse you would know circling doesn't work. He had someone circle him in those moments, to the point it was more of a relief and reward to circle. He got out of going where I asked him to go by circling. I learned better than to circle him the first day I rode him. This is more deep than you understand. I would appreciate it if you lost the condescending tone when you obviously know nothing about the situation.

-I talk to my horse! I think having conversations with my horse just sitting around in the pasture is the best time to bond. And I say Good boy or just make silly noises at him when he does something cute all the time! I might just be weird, but most people I know do that.

  • Thank you very much!
