BJJ guys are just jealous cuz their stand up fighting sucks
-
All you bjj guys saying that this move leaves you open for a rear naked choke just don't know how to throw. Judokas use this move all the time without getting choked out. There are plenty of judo matches here on youtube. Check it out.

@djchangsta not to mention their groins are exposed like 99% of the time

look like a very deep style morei seionage but i like how thi ones dynamic more.

Very sloppy! The thrower's stance is too wide... Where's the SNAP? GJC
-
that was a good move still and a good move to good move to take someone down good like it

This is very similar to judo throw called seoi nage (except the footwork). If did with the correct speed its is near impossible to get the back of the throwing guy, specially if he unbalanced the opponent and is going at a low throw. Someone can block the throw with the hips and then get the back or another takedown, but the throwing guy should be already connecting to another movement such a leg sweep or getting back to a safe position.

Actually, this one is a bit different. Its a variation of morote seionage. Instead of having your hips square to the person you're throwing you go into that cocked knee stance. It allows for a greater whip action in the throw. Small difference, but a greater impact.

works best on concrete.
So far I have liked whatI have seen from this art. I am new to the shuaijiao circle!! I think this may be superior to some other throwing arts I have seen. Are there finishing holds and a ground aspect to this form, or just relying on the shear contact with the ground to knock an assailant loopy? Obviously the shear speed with which the throws are executed are important to the defense aspect of this art.

Hi!
There are no finishing holds in competitive Shuaijiao.
The speed, direction, and setup of the throw are important to the successful execution of each throw

How does it leave you open for a choke? Did you see how fast the tech. is supposed to be done? The idea is to do it smoothly and quickly enough that the opponent cannot do something like that. It is still possible, but if this is done well, not likely.
