  • Hopkins is one of the all time greats. I like Pavlik but hated the way his team behaved towards this fight. They were very arrogant, talking about knocking out Bernard and such. I expected Hopkins to win a close fight and get robbed in the decision, however what he did was just unparalleled by any other fighter in the last 15 years.

  • pavlik is a great fighter but hopkins is a LEGEND

  • Pavlik could be a great boxer too, he's got enough courage, determination and power to beat anyone (specially at 160 if he was able to stay in weight): he just needs to drop his Youngstown entourage and find a real trainer such as Naz Richardson or Freddie Roach. Not that I want to take anything form Hopkins, you got to give him credit for a great fight. But remember that Pavlik also fought with a fever here: I've read Hopkins fanboys putting Pavlik down as he was a bum... Let's keep it real.

  • @ezekielwahwah bernard is such a better boxer then pavlik, that its a shame to say that he lost just to a "heavier" fighter.

  • @doomsdaydonald88

Just look at Pavlik's wrists and compare them with Hopkins': Hopkins' wrists are way thicker, that means that his body constitution is more robust (i.e. his skeleton has a bigger diameter) than Pavlik's.

Also, Pavlik fough with a fever in that match. Hopkins adopted the right strategy against Pavlik, but he won thanks to a fair difference of weight here. No excuses.

Pavlik put himself down with no reason, thinking that he got schooled, when he just lost to a heavier fighter.

  • @ezekielwahwah No you dumb fuck he just got his as schooled. he cant box hes just a heavy handed puncher, no skill. Dont make excuses. And you said nobody will beat him at 160?? Sergio Martinez embarrassed his ass and took away his championship. Whooped him so bad that he started using drugs and had to go to rehab. lol And he looked like shit his last fight on the Pacquiao/Mosely undercard. KELLY PAVLIK WILL NEVER, EVER EEEEVVVVVEEERRR BE CHAMPION AGAIN. So you can just keep making excuses bitch

  • @MOMOarabe

Wagonloads of bullshit there: "my style..." "overrated... underrated..." Hopkins doesn't hit any harder than Pavlik, he's just too HEAVY for him. Pavlik shouldn't have gone to fight as a super middleweight, he should have stayed middleweight, nobody will beat him there.

Hopkins isn't any tougher than Kelly, it was just a matter of weight.

  • and he did beat Roy

  • @MOMOarabe im from warren ohio rate by youngstown and my sisster's friend is related to pavlik
