@SpanischWG11 oh yea lol forgot about that. that sucks. I liked the way the flash sideways ended but they weren't anything special. I think what happened on the island is what made 6 one of the best seasons. They left a ton of unanswered questions but I liked how they answered the key questions.

Season 4 was cut short because of the writters strike! My thoughts on the seasons from best to last are: 1,3,2,5,4,6 Season 6 destroyed the mystery of lost in some way for me plus most of the sideways were boring.

I think the seasons from best to last are: 3, 6, 2, 4, 5, 1. I do think season 4 and 5 would've been much much better if they had more episodes. seasons 1, 2 , & 3 had 24 episodes. don't get why season 4 had 14, and 5 had 17. It kind of forces things to happen to quick. still best show ever

Yeah I heard that! Having the 1st movie made sense to wrap things up....but a sequel? I'm wondering what they'll pull off (other than Samantha's blouse). :)

Ah, Friends. Yep, that's one that seems to wind up a subject of this kind of debate a lot. Changes in writer/producer staff always brings about a huge shift and I think Friends had a major one around that time (not entirely sure, though).
On a slightly ironic note, did you hear Sex and the City is casting the next reunion movie?

I know we disagree on this one, but that's what happened to me with Friends around season 5. Although it sucks to see our favorite shows go buh-bye, shows like SFU, Sex in the City, and Lost have been smart to call it quits sooner rather than later. Die with some dignity people!

Sounds like how I got with the daytime soaps. When anything gets repetitive, the yawn-and-eyeroll factor tends to go up.
Will & Grace suffered from some of that, although the other thing that show suffered from (mostly, in fact) was that they turned all the characters into cartoon jokes. No matter what's going on storywise, if you don't stay true to your core characters, the audience will notice.

That's the problem with that show, it's become a cliche' of itself. This is actually the first year I stopped watching it in its 7 year run, but the past few years were trying me. Oh well.
I think that Lost has amazing replay value. Whenever a new season starts, I always re-watch all the preceding seasons leading up to it. So I've seen Season 1 probably...6 or 7 times now.
It's amazing how I continually notice new themes, moments, and little insights. Lots of "Aha!" stuff in the older seasons, now that stuff is starting to get explained.
I recommend anyone go back and re-watch Lost. It won't be fresh with the surprise factor...but you get to peel back more layers and themes.
