i've gotten some neg comments based on the location of this video. i guess i didn't include any explanation of why i took this there. at that time i was helping with the development of a community center near this site. the city built a bridge that runs from Av. Los Patos up to the Autopista (QRO-MEX). I had been wanting to try out the bridge and i was fortunate it was open but the road on one side wasn't. so i parked & set up my tripod and shot this video since the elevation was good.

the population is around 200, 000 NOT 500, 000, and is very ugly, there are a lot of small houses, and there are not malls, parks or things like that.

population is hard to determine...officially it is closer to 200K. There are signs at the entrance to town that state it is 179K people. Friends who've lived here for 14 years tell me the sign was here when they arrived. It probably is over 300K for sure since the gov't says there are over 300K in their housing program. Beauty is subjective. They have been improving the parks and the roads. Even so, I wouldn't hold it up for a beauty contest. I like it though.

in Mexico that is pretty much true enough...in the U.S. it would be considered a city. Population of San Juan is close to 500,000. But Mexico City is beyond being a "city"...it's just so much larger than anything else...it's has the population of a country all by itself. Not really accurate to compare any other town or city to Mexico City. It's in a class all by itself.
