This is not the first San Antonio police officer that's raped a transgender person.

This news agency disregarded industry standards when referring to this transwoman... this VICTIM in favor of Jerry Springer-like tactics.

WOAI: Read your damn AP stylebook!

As information began to surface of a the rape of a transgender person at the hands of San Antonio police officer Craig Nash, the media frenzy began focusing on a so-called "transgender man." The media, ignoring the industry standards, insisted upon using male pronouns describe the victim and apparently led many to concluded the the officer had raped a transman.

Transgender Foundation of America's Director, Cristan Williams contacted the San Antonio police on Sunday, February 28, 2009 and spoke with Officer Porter who said, "It was a guy to girl trans um person. He had all his male parts." In other words, SAPD and San Antonio media have added insult to injury by consistently and repeatedly disregarding industry standards when reporting information concerning the transgender population by referring to the rape victim of an on-duty police officer as a male.

As it turns out, this is not the first time a San Antonio an on-duty police officer raped a transwoman and it is not the first time that the media disregarded industry standards when reporting the crime.

As with the Myra Ical murder case, both HPD and local media disregarded industry standards and reported that Myra was a man. Houston chose to make enough noise that practically all Houston media as well as HPD ceased their slanderous reporting of Myras death in favor of the accurate reporting practices of the Dallas PD, the Associated Press and the New York Times.

  • @ButtsexyFartnasty

The outside may look like a penis, but on the inside it has the fallopian tubes. Do we go by what is on the outside? Sometimes the outside looks like a penis and a vagina. It aint' so cut and dry as you are making. And yes, people do genetically test the baby to see if they are going to call their baby a girl or boy. It ain't always so cut and dry.

  • 70% of the SAPD are corrupt, criminal, perverted, and untrained.

This is not a police force, it's a circus.

  • WOW WHAT AN ASSHOLE

  • @ButtsexyFartnasty [do your own research and if you would like to cite your own source make sure it's ACTUAL SCIENCE and not some pseudo-science paper you drudge up to try and prove your point] Gotcha. So, in other words, you can't cite any sources and the American Journal of Human Biology (the journal I cited) is just "pseudo-science." Right... gotcha. *rolls eyes*

  • @ehipassiko do your own research and if you would like to cite your own source make sure it's ACTUAL SCIENCE and not some pseudo-science paper you drudge up to try and prove your point. Nowhere on the planet do scientists do chromosome tests to determine gender.

  • @ButtsexyFartnasty [we have to do some tests first so you'll just have to wait a week until the labs come back] But that's not what you argued. Here's what you said: [scientists look for penises, gonads and vaginas, they don't look for chromosomes]... and that's 100% false. Cite your scientific source which asserts that chromosomal and phenotypic sex are not considered in scientific gender determination. (BTW, in fact 10s of 1000s of babies each year require extensive tests to determine sex.)

  • @ehipassiko you seem like smart person but you're just sounding childish on this issue

  • @ehipassiko actually they are not demonstrably false and all the pseudo-science in the world isn't going to make you correct. When the baby comes out the doctor holds it upside down by the ankles and slaps it on the butt, if it has a penis the doctor says 'It's a boy' and if it has a vagina the doctor says 'its a girl'. The doctor doesn't say 'well it might be a boy but we have to do some tests first so you'll just have to wait a week until the labs come back'

  • @ButtsexyFartnasty Yes, so you're asserting that even though intersex conditions are more common the blindness, the only thing that scientists and doctors do to determine sex is a cursory glance at external genitalia. Moreover, you assert that scientists and doctors do not consider chromosomes when making a sex determination. Both of these claims are demonstrably false. Pretending that science only considers gonadal sex (not chromosomal sex and phenotypic sex) doesn't make it so.

  • @ehipassiko actually it's you that is ignorant on science. I've read your 'studies'. You should probably learn about the subject you're typing about before calling someone an stupid. A simple google search will point you in the right direction.
