Left 4 Dead Tank shenanigans

Me playing Left 4 Dead beta.

How this got somewhat popular astounds me considering how typical the Benny Hill joke is for this situation. Thanks for the views!

Silly zombie. "HOW DOES I OPEN DOORS!?"

In case you're wondering about the Benny Hill music, I modified the games sound files to play Yakety Sax instead of the normal tank music. I did so because it's very "lol" inducing.

How to change the Tank Music.

To change the tank music, you will need to do three things.

1. Find a song you like.

2.Make the song WAV format, if it isnt you can easily find converting programs by googling for them.

3. Make sure the WAV file isn't too big.
Preferably, the WAV file should be around the same size as the already current Tank music, which is 8.82MB.

If the file is too big, the game wont load it and you'll hear nothing when the Tank comes.

If your WAV file is a little large, you find a MP3 or WAV trimming program and cut it down to size.

Once you have your WAV file, go to this location on your PC.

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead\sound\music\tank

Copy your WAV into this folder and rename it "Tank." This will replace the current Tank file. (or you can move the current Tank file to another location, if can you want to go back to it later.)

Once your WAV is named "Tank" the game will play it instead!

can someone help me out? i changed my tank music to the heavy metal theme tank and it doesnt work, its named the same and it is a wav file what am i doing wrong? when i go into the folder music/tank its the music i want but when i play a game and find a tank its the original, can someone please help me out? thanks

TANK- this will play in normal tank battle

TAANK- this plays when the finale-midway tanks appear, and when 2 appear as you run to the escape vehicle.

btw! if anyone else can test this and respond that would be awesome, and btw i recommend benny hill theme, born to be alive, and a hidden track on a "my chemical romance" CD called "i gave them blood"

yo! i found that i could open movie maker, create an image (any) import original tank theme put in the video match them both up (eg tank-52 secs) delete the original edit any new music to fit in with the picture (see what i did there?) finish movie use an audio extractor-i use something called AoA audio extractor make a backup of original files, if u want make sure of file size, then replace the old files, REMEMBER TO MATCH HE NAMES!
