Valkrye (part 8) [HD]

In Nazi Germany during World War II, as the tide turned in favor of The Allies, a cadre of senior German officers and politicians desperately plot to topple the Nazi regime before the nation is crushed in a near-inevitable defeat. To this end, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, an Army officer convinced he must save Germany from Hitler, is recruited to mastermind a real plan. To do so, he arranges for the internal emergency measure, Operation: Valkyrie, to be changed to enable his fellows to seize control of Berlin after the assassination of the Fuhrer. However, even as the plan is put into action, a combination of bad luck and human failings conspire on their own to create a tragedy that would prolong the greater one gripping Europe.

How in God's name could they generals etc. be reporting to a Col. I've worked in govt. for 15 years and I can assure you my bosses would never, ever report to me for duty! Give us a break...this is such Hollywood. People loved Hitler by the millions. That's how Stalin stayed in power till his death!

Everyones that been trained in certain areas around world in the military (infantry). You remember those random FORMATIONs? They do that in Korea all the time, even guard the gates in MOPP Gear. This is one reason why you have random formations. READY AT ALL TIMES... minutes notice.

Too bad its not like that right now. Whos going to pull a hitler?

While I agree that Berlin probably wasn't that "neat" in the summer of 44 it was by no means a bombed out city. USAAF and RAF forces didn't really target Berlin seriously until about December of 44. By 45 berlin was a major target and by March of 45 it was a bombed out city.

I can buy some of the scenery in this movie. The other youttuber that mentions Berlin not being a hub of industry is right and around this time other cities in Germany provided better results.

@RetrousseRaptor Berlin was most definitely  being bombed when this was taking place . mid to late 1944

@RetrousseRaptor - I agree but Berlin was heavily bombed as well as the Ruhr etc.

@TRUMPER007 At this point bombings were mostly aimed at the industrial areas of cities and Berlin was hardly a factory city vital to the war effort as the cities of the Rhineland and cities like Hamburg were.
