@Jared2324 He didn't do bad in the NFL. He was on a team with no offensive line or support of any kind. He was doing great this year with the Raiders before getting injured.
@PatPatrick01 it's not about money, it's about winning. if you don't keep progressing with your sports programs, then you will fall EXTREMELY behind other schools and will get flushed down the gutters
@Jared2324 OK. I dunno about what you think, and maybe I'm a little bit old-school when it comes to shit like this, but I'll say this: If you won a national championship and/or have an undefeated season, you should have the right to choose when you go out. Unfortunately, Fulmer, Tuberville, Lloyd Carr at Michigan, and, to a lesser extent, Joe Paterno didn't have that choice. And THAT'S part of the reason why I have a love/hate relationship with CFB. It's all about the money nowadays.
@PatPatrick01 idk what half of that had to do with my comment. but tubby getting fired was bad but it also led to a national championship so obviously it wasn't that bad of a move. and fulmer being one of the worst fires?!? please, he needed to go. at the time he got fired he was just a name.
@Jared2324 He only had one good year in College, in Al Borges' West Coast Offense. Then, Tuberville did a shitty job of replacing Campbell, then Borges was fired a couple of years later, and Tuberville shared his fate the following year. Those two firings, along with Tennessee firing Phillip Fulmer, was three of the worst firings in SEC history, if not college football history, IMHO. Which is fact, BTW.
This is painful to watch as a Hokie fan. This game, this year's Sugar Bowl, the 2000 National Title Game, the 2008 Orange Bowl. So much BCS heartbreak.

@Livepure2 last time AU went undefeated was 1993 and we finished 11-0. Before then we had never gone 12-0. The commentator was right
