  • i've got one as a present.

  • I'm reading "The making of a Stetson hat", a pre-WWII booklet of how felt, and thereafter, hats, are made. Extremely interesting. The methods have not, in fact, changed all that much since 1930, except for nitrate of mercury "carotting" which was made illegal around 1941. And, yes, Akubra makes very nice quality modern hats for a very decent price, a testimony to this ancient craft.

  • Vielen Dank Steve! Ich bin Akubra-Fan aus Fedora Lounge - 2 Fed III, Stylemaster, Sydney u. Squatter. Im Regen, im Schnee oder in der Sonne sind sie praktisch und hübsch.

  • Akubra is a very qualitiv hat, but not to expensive. I´ve got 6 Akubras:

    2x Fed IV

    2x Stylemaster

    1x Cattleman

    1x Banjo Paterson

  • Some of the felt scenes made my nose itchy!

Great hats - i have 3= a Campdraft, a Bushman and a Squatter. They are all a great quality value for the price!
