Horowitz, Rubinstein, Pollini play this better.

The main theme is on the fast side but, as often happens, the tempo subsequently settles down [except when the main theme returns].

Check out Rubenstein's version! A little slower and very sensitively played! I like his performance the best.

you are right. there is no right or wrong in music, it is all personal preference.

@yiyiku Yes it is fast, but i like it that way probably because of familiarity. It is the wonder of music that we can differ, we can both be moved to tears by great music and performers and not have to claim absolute right and wrong.
