  • This church is making history all over the world

  • @Menechem It condemns making a show of prayer. It also condemns worshipping statues and icons. BUT it does not condemn the usage of statues or icons in worship - nor the worship of God on street corners or in public.

  • @frsdonahue We believe all True Orthodox Churches are valid. But the official Churches in communion with Constantinople are ensconced in ecumenism -- you can read our simple and Orthodox confession of faith the website of the Autonomous Metropolia of North and South America and the British Isles. Put that in google. It should help.

  • @FrAugustine431 And, of course, only YOUR group is valid........

  • Doesn't scripture condemn the praying on street cornors (Matthew 6:1-8)?

  • @Tikhon02 No, it is not. "The Liturgy of St Tikhon" is a modified Anglican rite. The rite in this video is the pre-schism, Orthodox use of England and most of the West. What the Greek Catholics use is an Orthodox rite.

  • Unfortunately, carolking, many of the things that go on in such churches as Antioch and the Constantinople patriarchates are grave causes for concern. I say this as somebody who belongs to a church in communion with those patriarchates and I have a great deal of sympathy with the Milan Synod, which, I should add, is among the more moderate of the Old Calendarist churches.

  • nycxenia,

Thank you for your trouble in taping and posting this video.

    It certainly is interesting!

  • Oh and that's combined with the fact that we believe the Antiochian Patriarchate, and it's Archdiocese in America don't have the grace of the Mysteries; and that they are merely celebrating empty rituals filled with demonic powers.

  • We aren't in communion with the patriarchs because not all of us are sure that these patriarchates are really Orthodox. A few years of reflection have demonstrated that any attempts in the past were at best misguided. I can gurantee that Archbishop John of New York, and others would rather die than be in communion with the ecumenistic Phanar and the Soviet Moscow church.
