To this day Harriet Tubman is still remembered as "The Moses of her people" for good reason. From 1849 to 1860, in 17 dangerous missions to the Confederate South, she helped more than 300 slaves escape to freedom in the North.

Harriet's selflessness and disregard for personal safety along with her deep faith in God enabled her to help family members and many others to escape the chains of slavery.

She continues to inspire countless Americans more than a century after her death.

  • i saw this in elementary school (nostalgia) :3

  • This is a great cartoon. But she never actually went to an office and asked to become a conductor. You didn't ask to be one, you would just stay on the trail and help people, you never were like "declared" a conductor.

  • Fascinating stuff, the underground railroad.

  • @pinkgirl921313 oh hi

  • Sister Harriet Tubman set off when she brought so many of our people back into the Promise Land.

She's a remarkable woman who nursed, cared and had a great faith who didn't give up in bringing African people back into safety.

Sister Harriet was doing her secret missions while the enemy wasn't looking.

She's a great hero of my history.
