The Boland Amendment was responsible for the loss of South Vietnam (which was then overrun by murderers and terrorists) , and this country was blanketed with cocaine thanks largely to the communists: see "Red Cocaine" by Joseph Douglas, and "Narco-Terrorism" by Rachel Ehrenfeld.

@louisa1832 It was ok to supply murderers and terrorists with money through illegal weapons sales to Iran and by importing cocaine into the United States just because they were against communism? Not to mention the fact that the Boland amendment specifically prohibited aid to the Contras?

@steelersguy74 What was "disgusting" about Iran-Contra? The fact that the Contras were contra communism? As for the oil supply -- you couldn't get from Point A to Point B without oil. Do you think Saddam should have been in charge of it?

@louisa1832 Ok that was the same time weapons were being sold to the Ayatollah during the disgusting Iran-Contra scandal and he was ignored even during the gassing of the Kurds ; action was only taken when he invaded Kuwait threatening the oil supply.

I'm very anti-Bush and I thought it was agreat movie. I was disappointed that it didn't do well after the first weekend. But I guess that people were so sick of him at that time that they didn't want to see a movie about him.
