@maddenptofficial many thanks for uploading this fantastic information...awesome. You say seek a physio to find the cause of the issue but all the physios I've tried in the uk are rubbish. They do not have a clue and would know nothing about the exercises shown in your video. I've had these sciatic issues since 1994 and trusted the scum butcher surgeon to operate on me. What I would give to put a knife in his back to demonstrate the pain I feel on a daily basis.

I'm 3rd time lucky with my disc! 3 times in about 15 years! I'm having physiotherapy & acupuncture! I'm exercising as well! It's hard i know, but I'm sticking with it! Sleeping can be bad! with the pain! But I've had it before, with my other 2 bouts of disc & sciatica! & it still sucks!, big time. Good luck folks!!

@PimpSlapDatHoeXD Hmmm...sounds like you're doing both bending forward and back at the same time. Does one give relief and the other pain? Which one is better? Which one worse?
In saying "physio"...are you in Europe, New Zealand, Australia?

@maddenptofficial I have had an MRI scan done which shows an L5/S1 right sided disc protrusion which is touching the L5 nerve root. And more proximally i have a ;4/5 protrusion which is touching the L5 Nerve root.

@maddenptofficial Yes its down all of my leg. My physio said she could not do full treatment on me, as im in too much pain. The exercises i try to do are bending my hips side to side, Trying to touch my toes, leaning as far back as i can, Core strengthining exercises which is just holding in my stomach, and my physio also just tapes my back up. Other than that im taking codeine, tramadol and some anti-inflammatory.

@PimpSlapDatHoeXD down your whole leg...not good. What did they do in physio? It sounds like you would benefit from traction...did they do that? Hands on? What types of exercise?

@PimpSlapDatHoeXD its very very fustrating! im really hopeing you can help, i really want to avoid getting the epdidural done if i can. Your response is much appreciated :)
Thank you for these exercises. I have this problem as well, but I am doing stretches daily and I do not experience pain anymore when sitting or sleeping etc. The only problem that I have is the limited mobility, i.e. not being able to touch my toes as I was before.
My question is, can the nerve be actually stretched so that I eventually will be as mobile as I was before? Can I regain full mobility by doing such exercises and not getting my back cracked at a chiro or an operation?
Thank you!

@v0rk Think of the nerve as a conduit...the plastic tube that you can slide several wires through for construction purposes. The nerve slides in a sheath, the same way the wires can slide in a conduit. The stretch is to improve the ability of the nerve to slide in the sheath. You should be able to gain full mobility, unless there is some other obstacle in your condition.
