About 9 days after the last hydroponic growing video, we decided to take another look at our deep water culture (DWC) system. Guess what we found...

  • sur it works, but its not rockwool! try using stg and rockwool and see what does better, rockwool wins every time, but like i said its a grow medium that does work just not the best out there,, my hydro store stop selling it ..no one buys it,

  • @TheJr420420 this video shows an STG Storm series insert in a net pot in a DWC system. Rockwool does not offer a media for this type of system. STG had over twenty unique models for many hydroponics applications and methods. Rockwool is great for flood and drain and top drip, but little else. STG technology works best in DWC, Aeroponic, Fog, NFT and custom engineered systems.

  • @SureToGrowers there is so many ways to grow now, and rockwool has many uses in ntf, dwc, flood drain ,drip, fog, flood and drain. i mean how can you say rockwool has only two ways to grow? im sure STG works but rockwool is king, and allways will be, and STG, is way to expensive, , BUT,STG does get the 'job' done. just pricey, any chance we see that price come down in the near future?

  • @TheJr420420 We get that a lot about price, but the fact is our rockwool type products are actually significantly cheaper than rockwool; cubes, blocks, slabs etc. our Storm inserts are more expensive than hydroton, but most people factor in ease of use; no cleaning, no mess. However Hail mini cubes are about the same as hydroton. check out a site Hydro Media Unlimited and compare. let me know if you agree about affordability. i think many retailers way over price our products.

  • @TheJr420420 RW is alomst never used for container growing, net pots, buckets etc. you have to give me that one. STG really thrives in those systems because of really good airation and does not tend to get to wet. most of our business is not in consumer. We are widley used for high tech systems where we customize designs to fit unique set ups. STG most off beats out RW in head to head trials for these applications. I think we can agree there is plenty of room out there for both products.

  • @SureToGrowers a agree!! to be honest i really watnt to try the all hail STG, but cant find it anywhere around here, mabe ill order some ,,,,, mabe.

  • @TheJr420420 We have a promotion on our website for a bag of Hail at 50% off for trial purposes. I encourage you to do this and give it a try. I would love to get your feedback.
