@AntiquityCentury21 Your entitled to your narrow opinion of what "Imagine" means, but that is all it is-Your opinion. What the song means to others is for them to interpret for themselves, so you are inappropriate for foisting your narrow views on others. The song speaks to hope, decency, and truth. If your religion and your faith are threatened by the beliefs of others, then your conviction and belief must be weak and unsupported by your actions, which aren't consistent with your words.

The kids should know that Jesus can take away the guilt and shame, and also has the authority to punish all unrighteousness. The song just says that we can pretend everything will be alright, which would be a tragic deception to the victims.

I will reiterate, it is very inappropriate to sing this song in light of the abuse. Jerry Sandusky, if unrepentant, will face his Maker on the Day of Judgement, and under Christ Jesus we we all live as one. Amen.
