2D Shapes I Know-

Focusing on: circle, triangle, square, rectangle...

As a note to teachers, obviously there would be the natural follow-up of mentioning the other shapes that aren't included in this video (oval, star, heart, etc.....) I really wanted to include them in this song, but it was just becoming too difficult musically... Oh well!!!!!!!

This video is connected to the 3D shapes song:

  • Here are the 2 D shapes that I know … Shapes, shapes, tall and short Skinny and wide You can tell what shape you’re looking at By counting all the sides. A circle has one continuous side. A pizza pie, a dinner plate, and a cookie would be Examples of a circle As you can plainly see A bike wheel, the letter “O,” and a CD Are all examples of a circle as you can plainly see.
  • A triangle has three sides.

A pizza slice, a yield sign, and the front of a roof would be

Examples of a triangle as you can plainly see,

Doritos, a wedge of cheese, and a pennant flag would be

Examples of a triangle as you can plainly see.

  • A square has four equal sides.

A pizza box, some brownies, and a table top would be

Examples of a square as you can plainly see.

A window, a CD case, and crackers would be

Examples of a square as you can plainly see.

  • A rectangle has four sides, two short and two long.

A door frame, a dollar bill, and a chocolate bar would be

Examples of a rectangle as you can plainly see.

A book cover, a piece of paper, and a wide screen TV

Are all examples of a rectangle as you can plainly see.

Here are the 2D shapes that I know.
