Beth Thompson & The Shway - Painful Cyst

This is the new video from Beth Thompson, best known as the lead singer of the LA-based alternative rock band, Medicine. "Painful Cyst" is the first video from Beth's collaboration project called "The Shway." The Shway released their CD "Pushed Beyond The Dream" in September 2007, which is available from Beth & The Shway through their myspace pages: www.myspace.com/beththompson99 or www.mysace.com/xueshwa. After the senseless murder of Beth's long-time friend and video director, Peter Haskell, the first attempt at a music video for the single "Painful Cyst" was derailed. Recently Beth formed a new working partnership to shoot her video with John Frady & Mark Mars (AKA: Heart of Chaos Productions) and during the months of February & March 2009, they shot & edited the "Painful Cyst" video, based on some of the concepts from the original video. In loving memory of Peter Haskell 1956 - 2008.

This is just flat out amazing. I really like Beth's new sound; it gives a reminiscent feel of her 90's stuff as well, which I absolutely adored. I really hope she makes a new album soon.

I just listened to a few medecine's lps, and that was an enlightment from the beggining to the very end!!! Thank U so much 4 illuminating my life with ur songs & ur voice!!!! (I was an unconditional lover of the song "Time baby III" for a long time ago, thanks to the apparition of Medecine in the fabulous & tragic movie "the CROW", unfortunately it's the only song I was able to find from the band (before the internet broke out..) in a very long time...Now U can c tears of joy on my face! ;*^ )
