On July 3, BART police shot down 45 year old Charles Hill, apparently a homeless man who reported was intoxicated on the BART platform at Civic Center Station in San Francisco.

BART Police Chief Kenton Rainey said he was "comfortable" with the shooting of the alleged "drunk and wobbly" man, who allegedly cut one of the two officers present during the shooting in a confrontation.

On July 11, about 75 shut down the Civic Center Station. Demonstrators later moved to Powell Street Station and 16th Street Station, before those stations were closed by BART also. Demonstrators then exited 16th Street, marching down Mission, to Market Street, in the Tenderloin, returning back to the Powell Street station at a major tourist junction. Police immediately blocked protesters from going to the Financial District, or from continuing to disrupt the tourism industry.

Protesters demand the release of the video of the shooting, which BART has said is in its possession.

  • @Japcat21 Again, I have been in knife fights, I didnt bother killing said person because it was not necessary.

  • They attacked the escalator! All police fire now!!!

  • @SlayerofFiction He missed because he was intoxicated. If a knife was thrown at you, what would you do?

  • @Japcat21 exactly, its nearly impossible to miss unless you do so intentionally at that distance, refer back to my original post to you on this.

  • @SlayerofFiction Clearly you can see from the video that the knife misses the police officer and ricochets the Bart tram.

  • @Japcat21 lol again, back to the knife going no where near the officer, would you feel the same way about someone throwing a stone?

  • @SlayerofFiction I'm sorry but was this dictionary made before or after 1787? A better question would be why are you talking about firearms when we are talking about knives? Sure, you have the right to put a knife in your pocket, but you don't have the right to aggressively lunge at someone with the intent of serious bodily harm, especially not to a police officer. Scratch that, they don't have the right to lunge at anyone period.

  • @Japcat21 Sigh the definition of Arms is " Instruments or weapons of offense or defense" " armed, arm·ing, arms

    v.intr.

    1. To supply or equip oneself with weaponry.

    2. To prepare oneself for warfare or conflict."

  • @SlayerofFiction Cannons are considered firearms? Why? Because they are guns. Knifes are not guns. Second Amendment says we have the right to bear arms. Surely, a knife is not a firearm. And yes, they were specifically talking about "Firearms".

  • @Japcat21 Arms refers to weapons in general genius, apparently you are unaware that the countries war in 1812 was fought using primarly a private navy, thats right, a navy which was private and had their own CANNON, I fucking suggest you sit down and read the federalist papers and as many things as you can get ahold of which predate the constituion so you are able to actually understand what is written and why.
