From the 1963 Reader's Digest 4-album set "Joyous Music For Christmas Time" record #2, side 2
An intriguing medieval feeling surrounds this presentation of "O Come, O Come, Emanuel," composed by Thomas Helmore and inspired by old monastic chants. A week before Christmas the monks sang the first stanza of the hymn, then added another stanza each night until the full seven were performed.
The quality stinks, I know. Maybe Santa Claus will bring me a new Hi-Fi for Christmas ;)
Thanks so much Hugh and a prosperous new year to you--slainte

@dan1919breen --There's a possibility would' ve gotten more hits if I managed to proofread my title's spelling mistake. I just corrected "Emanuel" to "Emmanuel" today.
Merry Christmas goodmandan !
