Wait, I don't understand. You claim that you're the owner of the Esprit in this video, yet "arthurpness" posted it and claims that it is his car. Now, unless both of you are the same person, someone's "pants are on fire".....as the saying goes.

Ah it's ok!
now understand, I thinked that your SE was chargecooled!
-
Im the owner of this Esprit, it is not a chargecool car it is the earlier Twin carb non intercooled version. The figures it produced are consistant with the Manufacturer. These are excellent figures for a 22 year old car, especially the raised torque figure. The SE was chargecooled and produced 264hp as standard and was fuel injected, a totally different car really.
-
are you sure that's all ok on your car!
Im not a Esprit GURU but do you must get more of 240HP as HP ! the difference between BHP and wHP should be of 5/10 not more......however you car should have more of 240 HP !at wheel!
-
and why do you get only 180 HP at the PC screen, as show in the last part of the movie at the end of dyno???
HP is only one part of the equation as anyone knows. Torque is the real measure of how a car drives, not just when screaming it to the red line but everywhere else in the rev range, and as mentioned it has 40lb ft more than standard, not bad for basically an untuned engine. If someone gave me a choice between a lot more torque or lot more hp I would go torque every time. Much easier to drive faster, and more flexible in every gear.
The 181hp is wheel horsepower.
