Gin & Tonic: A T2i Test Video

A short test video shot on the new Canon T2i. Fresh out of the box, all automatic settings. 1080-24p. Definitely a little grainy, but it was pretty low light. Very happy so far!

hey when u manually focus does the camera record the slight noise it makes?

@affamoni Manually focusing makes little to no noise. If you were to auto focus, it would definitely pick up the audio. Most of the time, I do not use the on board mic (which would be pretty much right next to the lens), I instead use an external mic like a shotgun mounted on the top or on a pole, and then you never hear the lens.

Nice little video, shows exactly what I wanted to see: The movie capabilities. The software you use for the video editing is the that comes with the camera? Still waiting to see this camera here in canada.

I'm not really sure what software comes with the camera... I used Final Cut Pro, and Compressor to convert the video to use on youtube...

I would go with the kit lens. It's not a prime lens, but it's still damn good in its own right, and a bargain like that can't be sniffed at.
