So sick of diving in the game. Went to my nephew's game last week, frickin' mites, and this kid goes all yard-sale after losing the puck. Ref falls for it and the little faker both draws a penalty and gets a pat on the helmet from his coach when he gets back to the bench. Shanny should suspend players for diving on the grounds of making a mockery of the game.

lol no offense but ever thought of the fact when he got hit.. he took a bite and it was the nerve that made him react like that? Cuz lets think logic guys. Ovi wouldn't dive. He probably just hurt his tooth? I dont know if this has happened to you but when I am body checked sometimes I like chomp my teeth together and it just aches a bit. Thats all I have to say.

for every Ovechkin dive there is atleast 5 from Crosby...but everyone dives now it's accepted and encouraged the NHL seems disinterested in fixing the problem (if you don't think it's a problem you've obviously never seen Iginla one of the most honest/straight forward players in the history of the game dive! 2004 and backwards he never would have done it but this is the new NHL)

@GRIDmygame you're leaving out the fact that a hockey player is swinging a wooden stick basically standing still. using only his arms. the soccer player is taking a run at the soccer ball and using his legs which are about 4 times stronger than any arms.

@AC150driver lmao its does... uhh the fastest free kick recorded in soccer was something like 224 kph and the fastest slap shot was what 107 mph? if you convert 224khp its 140mph so yah i do think a soccer ball travels faster than a puck sometimes
