In today's edition of Coffee with..., Robyn Lea sits down for a candid conversation with our wonderful city's police chief, Walter Armstrong.

Chief Armstrong, a well-respected veteran of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety and native of Batesville,MS, took the reins as chief in 2009. He discusses how he came to be in law enforcement, the benefit of attending the National Law Enforcement Academy and his duties as Chief of the Vicksburg Police Department.

Chief Armstrong also discusses the different divisions within the Vicksburg Police Department and works to define what each division is responsible for.

The chief is a very busy man, especially these days with the changing nature of the flood. This interview was taped in mid-April as we were preparing for the coming flood, and we consider ourselves blessed to have been able to bring Chief Armstrong in for this informative conversation.
