The night was long and the seas were rough. At 2am the bite had night even come close to starting. No one on the radio and those there were complained of no action. Most of the crew was sleeping when all of a sudden the click, click click of the reel went off and the rod started to twitch. I jumped over, counted to 10 then reeled like a bandit. FishON! 75 minutes later after busting the reel seat on a Penn 50 and fantastic crew effort we nailed our est 200 sword off the SW corner of the Hudson, 3 Sept 2011. Great ! Thanks to Capt Chris for the ride and kudos to crew for excellent action.
