This commercial is pointless. Why would I say this after having been hit by two cars during my 35 years of riding motorcycles and bicycles on the street? The first take on in the commercial did not show a bike to the right. Only on the last take is a bike seen approaching the intersection. Motorist that hit motorcyclist and are at fault, look right through the motorcycle while it is plainly in sight because they are looking for cars. Looking for specific object leaves others at risk.

I see your point but I'd say its far from pointless, the point being that there's much better odds of seeing the oncoming m/cycle IF YOU TAKE A LITTLE LONGER TO LOOK and then LOOK AGAIN. I've personally experienced the 'looking straight through you and not seeing you' syndrome a number of times and been the victim (3 yrs recovery!) of a full on SMIDSY . Of course there's lots we can do to help keep out of harms way (to be fair to other vehicle drivers who are not always at fault.) Ride safe :-)

Ok, I agree with your rebuttal. I will recant my pointless assertion but would change the closing statement in the video to "...look again, take longer to look for people, not just cars." Get your point. Sorry you had to go through what I've been through. All the money in the world don't put some things back where they belong. Peace.

Hey, I appreciate you taking the time to comment, most of these vids are far from perfect in one way or another but hopefully they do get a few people thinking....if only one crash is avoided as someone saw a vid like this recently that's a start. Can't post links here but follow the link in the vid description to my website for some 'nice' pics of my metalwork.
Hope your well now.

Maybe he would have seen the bike, had it actually been there at all the first time.

shocking but improoving...I ride bikes for 15 years, if I would have as many bucks as many times I had to break really strong to avoid the sunday-drivers... :S

damn you are pretty stupid bro.. in the video the driver does NOT look right again...
regardless, common sense, you look both ways, then look to the lane you would cross first before again checking the second lane you ar going to cross.
