@BunckenburgT ..if I draw twenty hours a day for the next ten years I'm not going to be able to draw like Nate Frizzell, unless I copy his drawings stroke for stroke, because I don't have HIS imagination, I will just be a vastly improved celloprofundo drawing on my own imagination...it's all about making yourself happy anyway...enjoy what skills you have...if practicing made perfect replicas of artists we'd have Michelangelo's all over the place..
@BunckenburgT ...Like Steve Jobs said, creativity is about connecting things, to be really good at something you have to have the imagination, I.Q., drive, innate talent, work ethic, all in sync...in other words, you can't make a ruby out of a red marble, thats like asking your average joe six-pack to play like Tom Brady, it just ain't gonna happen...realistically...but that doesn't mean people should give up trying by any means...
@celloprofundo ....Well with that attitude you have no hope whatsoever..... @digitalwolfed, from another artist to another I totally agree there, the more art you do, the better it slowly gets... can take a while though.
as an artist myself I can tell you that you most definently draw like that If you put in the hard work to learn. What is talent but hard work and imagination.
You can't learn to 'draw like that' if it's not in you ; ) ..that's like saying "I'm going to play guitar like Jimmy Page"...imagination has to nurtured and self-nurturing from day one, and the innate talent has to be there...but I could be wrong ; )
