The making of wildlife documentary Last of the Scottish Wildcats

One of the DVD extras from our Last of the Scottish Wildcats DVD, taking a look at how we shot a wildlife documentary on a cat only one other person had ever filmed 13 years previously.

Director Steve Piper talks through the process of shooting, interviews wildlife photographer Pete Cairns about one of the wildcats that appears in the film and explains the feelings the experience left him with, leading to the formation of the Scottish Wildcat Association, the only charity dedicated to conserving the wildcat, two years later.
