Thanks to http://milesaheadmusic.net for sponsoring this video so I can keep making FREE videos for YOU! Tell them THANKS.
I'm playing a Pearl 765 flute in this video, borrowed from Miles Ahead Music. Contact them for more info about this flute.
I hope you find this tutorial helpful. Remember, plan out where to use thumb B-flat fingerings; outline the structure of the hard passages; fell the rocking quality of the triple time; exaggerate dynamics; don't go flat on the soft A.
Good luck!

  • amazing.

I am in highschool, and this is my audition piece for All-County Honor Band in Florida, but we stop before all the E's.. so, like.. measure.. 26. we stop at measure 26. but, anyway. this helped me a lot!! I'm still having trouble though /:

  • I'm not in hs anymore but would love to try this piece. Is there a copy on a website anywhere?

  • @TheBroadwaygirl22 I don't think you realize she's an accomplished flute player, and a professor at that.. She's not just "good."

  • very pretty... u seem very good, but if u are reading from music i would lift your stand up a little bit, because your chin seems to be down

  • Hey Nina, I was wondering if you can you make a video on a part of a piece called "sheherazade" by rimsky-korsakov, its on movement 4. Its the part with all of the thirty-second notes, please. But not the orchesta version, the wind ensemble version.

  • Thank you so much; this video was very helpful! I have already shared it on facebook with about twenty others who might be auditioning. We all appreciate your insight! Thanks again!

  • merci pour ses doux moments.

I ll share this fluteinfo with my friends.

  • THANK YOU
