Point me at the sky, Pink Floyd 1968.

There seems to be some discrepancy about if the name is Jean or Eugene:

However I did made a minor mistake as 'Playing the games ...' should read 'Laying the games ...'

  • It does sound like Lucy in the Sky. That doesn't mean it's a bad song. It's one of my favorite early Floyd songs. In fact, early Floyd does have sound a bit like late Beatles sometimes.

  • @barriesonfire Don't worry. Roger Waters even said this song was crap.

  • @xPORTERLOOx Let me just tell you that I too agree that this and "Lucy in The Sky" are a little alike. When you're listening to Lucy, in the part "lucy in the sky", add "and let it fly" (i.e "lucy in the sky and let it fly"!) and tell me if it does or does not fit in. I think it does. Floyd is my favourite band, too, and that's what I think :)

  • @jhoch5 Roger and Nick didn't meet until they went to college together in 1962, and Roger didn't even speak to Nick until a few months after they started.

  • @Danimal77 You call me deaf! This song sounds nothing like Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, I am familiar with both songs, The Beatles and Pink Floyd are my two favourite bands and the song sounds completely different

  • @TomsCigReviews

    Yeah...haha...I meant Lucy.

  • @xPORTERLOOx

Uhhhhhh. yes.....yes it is. Your deaf.

  • this song is actually an in joke between nick mason and roger waters, they were fishing on lake superior in northern wisconsin in 57 when mason had to go to the bathroom, waters asked him where he planned on going so far out from shore, mason's reply "point me at the sky and let it fly"

  • Just too great. Best band

  • typical early floyd and still very good
