Rebuild a new RB26 engine with new mods including head components and external oil system with a Moroso single stage pump mounted with Billet Motorsport billet brackets and pulley system and custom head drain.
During this run-in tune RPM was taken to 5,200 rpm with gate pressure which is 15psi making just over 400rwkw
Engine builder: Westend Performance
Engine tuner: Just Engine Management.
Dyno operator: Adam Neish.

  • Regarding breaking-in the new engine. I followed the recommendations of my engine builder which were. #1. get the engine started with correct fuel mixtures so the engine can be brought to running temps. #2. check for leaks, replace engine oil & filter. #3. hit the dyno for run-in tune up to 5,000rpm. #4. put 1000km driving normal up to 5,000 limiter. #5. drop oil before full dyno tune.
