Also when you get to a certain part in the game, you can choose to go wolf whenever you want. BTW a good moment: Turn wolf, at night, go to the South Entrance into Castle town. Where there is a waterfall then Lake Hylia, look at it at night it is so pretty, just better when you are a wolf

When he sets foot in the Twilight (ya know...the darkness that threatens to cover Hyrule), it's too much for his Light form (human), and--since he's the Chosen Hero--he can't turn into a spirit, because it's his duty to save Hyrule, so he turns into a beast (a freakin awesome wolf)
