I love the sound of an Eric Johnson Strat through a Vox AC30 Custom Classic 2! It is such a great sound. Due to time constraints, I had to split this into two videos (sorry about that!). Towards the end, I used a looper - a Digitech JamMan but a Boss RC-20 or a Boss RC-50 would do the same.

Gear used in this video: Eric Johnson Stratocaster, Vox AC30CC2, Digitech JamMan, Shure SM7B and AKG-414 dual mic'ed guitar cab, Tascam FW-1884 mic pres and converters.

Scott - Nice demo! Great tone and great playing. Eric Johnson Strat? Do you roll some of the treble down on the bridge pickup? Mine's pretty bright.

@bscfo1 Thanks! Yes, EJ Strat. I think I might have rolled it down - I agree that those pickups are bright. I can't remember actually what pickups are in this. At one point I took out the EJ pickups and put in some Lindy Fralin Blues Specials which I liked better.

The pickups are electrically in phase, but because of the position difference, they pick up different vibrations, thus cancelling out certain tones.
